Mark Wells, O.D. spent his early childhood in Florida before moving to Cheyenne at the age of 6. He is a graduate of Central High School and attended the University of Wyoming. His professional training occurred at the Southern California College of Optometry, where he graduated with distinction. He completed a residency in Primary Care/Ocular Disease at the Los Angeles Veterans Administration Hospital before joining the clinic in 1991. Dr. Wells is a consultant for Vistakon and a faculty member of The Vision Care Institute in Jacksonville, Florida. Dr. Wells is an adjunct assistant professor for the Illinois College of Optometry and the Western University College of Optometry. He also serves as a clinical instructor for the University of Wyoming Family Practice Residency Program. He is a member of the American Optometric Association and served as President of the Board of Directors of the Wyoming Optometric Association. He also served on the board of Needs Inc. for 20 years. Dr. Wells is licensed in Wyoming and Colorado and has full accreditation and is DEA certified to prescribe oral and topical medications to treat eye diseases and infections. When not working, he enjoys bow hunting, waterfowl hunting, and sports.
